Manage waitlists for full classes
Just need the quick answer?
See the short version in the FAQWaitlists turn sold-out classes into a steady stream of sign-ups. When a class fills up, attendees can add themselves to the waitlist with one tap. If a seat opens — whether someone cancels or you raise capacity — we'll automatically reach out to the next person in line so you don't have to do any chasing.
Turn on the waitlist for a class
- Open the class from your dashboard and click Edit.
- Scroll to the Capacity section and toggle Allow waitlist on.
- Choose how many people can be on the waitlist at once (we suggest 5–10).
- Pick how long someone has to grab an open seat once they're notified — 1, 6, 12, or 24 hours.
- Save. The Book button on the public page automatically becomes Join waitlist when the class fills.
How auto-promotion works
- When a paid seat opens up, we email and text the first person on the waitlist with a one-tap Reserve link.
- If they don't claim it within the window you chose, the offer rolls to the next person automatically.
- Anyone who claims a seat is charged at the same price the original attendee paid — no surprise pricing.
- You can see the full waitlist on the class page, manually promote someone, or remove anyone at any time.
Tips for handling waitlists well
- If a class consistently fills up with a long waitlist, consider adding a second session — we'll show you which classes have the most waitlist demand.
- A 12-hour reservation window is the sweet spot: long enough to catch people checking email after work, short enough to fill seats fast.
- When you raise capacity on a full class, anyone on the waitlist is offered seats automatically in order.
